How To Play

A: Z key / B: X key / Start: Enter key / Directions: Arrow Keys

Each turn, you can cast a spell from your spellbook or use a gem to cast a basic spell. Each gem has a different effect and their strength is determined by your respective Mastery Levels.


Gems & Stats

Each gem that you add to your spell increases the gem's strength:

  • Ruby: Add damage to your spell. Ruby damage against shields is reduced by 75%.
  • Sapphire: Add shield damage to your spell. Sapphire damage against unshielded opponents is reduced by 75%.
  • Emerald: Gain or strengthen your shield. Shields reduce Ruby damage and protect its caster’s health.

In-Game stats correspond to various values:

  • Resilience: Determines your maximum health (Resilience x 5)
  • Fortitude: Determines your maximum shield (Fortitude x 5)
  • Willpower: Determines the maximum amount of AP that you can accumulate during battle (Willpower x 5)
  • Ruby Mastery: Determines the strength of your Rubies
  • Sapphire Mastery: Determines the strength of your Sapphires
  • Emerald Mastery: Determines the strength of your Emeralds
  • Speed: Determines how quickly you are able to act
  • Focus: Determines the amount of AP gained between turns
  • Gem Cost Reduction: Determines the AP cost of Gems (5 - GCR)


Equipment

As you travel, you will obtain various Items:

  • Spellbook: Contains a set of spells that can be used during battle
  • Staff: Affects Gem Masteries
  • Cloak: Affects Resilience, Fortitude, and Speed
  • Ring: Affects Willpower, Focus, Spell Costs
